Alonzo Saclag, a Kalinga musician and dancer from Lubuagan, is known for his mastery of traditional Kalinga music and dance, which he has performed and taught for many years. He was conferred the National Living Treasures Award in 2000 and has established Awichon, a village promoting Kalinga culture to tourists. Saclag's efforts in preserving and promoting Kalinga culture include advocating for documentation of their traditions and laws, campaigning to preserve their artifacts and archaeological sites, and forming the Kalinga Budong Dance Troupe to pass on his knowledge to the younger generation. Despite challenges, Saclag's contributions have resulted in the establishment of the Lubuagan branch of the National Museum and the integration of Kalinga music and dance in local schools and radio stations.
